We are looking for your views!
14th July 2017
We have just launched a survey asking you about your experience of NHS Mental Health Services. We really want to know if you were offered the right support at the right time, had your views valued and if you were treated with respect. All experiences are welcome both good and bad.
So why do we need this? The Health and Sports Committee at the Scottish Parliament are currently examining NHS Governance . As part of this they have a ‘Call for Evidence’ on Clinical Governance running until 9 August. In short Clinical governance refers to the systems in place to ensure NHS accountability and the continual improvement of care and patient safety. The findings from the committee’s inquiry will be used to push the government and NHS for positive change to how our NHS is working.
That’s why it’s so important the committee hears as many voices and experiences of people using or who have used NHS mental health services. We will be responding to the call for evidence, to make sure that happened and your responses to our survey will form the basis of our evidence. Beyond the committee’s inquiry we will use all your views to help us campaign for NHS mental health services that are based on fairness, respect, quality and choice.
The Survey is running for the next two weeks and should only take a few minutes to complete. It can be found here https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/SAMH-NHS
