Employability Services Overview

SAMH’s National Employability Team supports people with mental health problems to develop their wellbeing and employability.

So what is ‘employability’? Employability is simply: the skills and abilities that allow you to be employed.

So, whether you’re still working on your wellbeing, or actively trying to gain employment, our specialist team can support you to move along what’s known as ‘the employability pipeline’. Our support is tailored to you and where you’re at on your employability journey. To get involved, all we ask is that you’re ready to put in the work to get where you want to be – wherever that may be.

Currently, SAMH’s National Employability Team provides varied support in the following areas:

  • Glasgow
  • North Lanarkshire
  • West Dunbartonshire
  • East Renfrewshire
  • East Lothian
  • Edinburgh
  • Fife

Our team members are all highly experienced in working with people with experience of mental health problems. To find out more about our employability services, meet the team, or read our success stories – click below.
