Aberdeen Dodgeball Showdoon & Family Fun Day

Get ready to dodge, duck and dive at the Aberdeen Dodgeball Showdoon 2025.

Oh, and we should mention... it’s fancy dress!

This community knock-out tournament is organised by SAMH, in partnership with Aberdeen Sports Village and The University of Aberdeen. The event takes place on Saturday 10th May at Balgownie Playing Fields.

There will be a wide variety of family-friendly entertainment on the day, including inflatables, face painters, children's entertainment and food and drink stalls. Make sure to bring along your cheer squad to show their support and your little ones to enjoy the entertainment!

Whether you’re a dab-hand at dodgeball or just looking for a day of entertainment with friends and family – everyone is welcome to take part, no matter your confidence with sports or fitness. You might be the ‘Dodgeball Dons’ or the ‘Doric Dodgers’ - but as long as you can dodge and throw, you might be our 2025 Champions!

Please note: You must be 18 or over to enter a team in the Aberdeen Dodgeball Showdoon. People of all ages are welcome to spectate and take part in the family fun day.

We ask for a non-refundable entry fee of £20 per team member to secure your place at the Aberdeen Dodgeball Showdoon. We're also asking each player to get involved in fundraising for Scotland's mental health by setting a £50 minimum fundraising pledge.

Bring together a team of between 4 and 6 friends, family members or colleagues for this one-day, knock-out tournament in support of Scotland’s mental health.

Think of a catchy team name, choose your fancy dress theme and “throw” yourselves into this hilarious event full of laughter, silliness and friendly competition – all for a great cause!
