Virgin Money
We are partnering with Virgin Money
January 2024 sees the launch of a two-year partnership between SAMH and Virgin Money, alongside our charity partner Mind in England and Wales.
The partnership will raise vital funds for mental health support across the UK, and empower Virgin Money customers and employees with the confidence and knowledges to support someone experiencing a mental health problem.
Three quarters of people say that difficulty managing their money impacts their mental health, which is why Virgin Money staff voted to support SAMH and Mind as their charity partner.
Over the coming years, colleagues at Virgin Money will be taking on a variety of fundraising activities and challenges for SAMH and offering their skills to provide volunteering and pro-bono support.
Virgin Money will also be raising awareness and supporting colleagues, customers and communities to encourage open discussions around mental health and financial wellbeing.
Emma Mamo, Assistant Director of Workplace and Business Development at SAMH, said: “We are so pleased to launch a new partnership with Virgin Money and want to say a huge thank you to Virgin Money staff for choosing to support SAMH in improving the mental health of people across Scotland.
“For many of us, the impact of the pandemic and the ongoing cost-of-living crisis have had a huge impact on our mental health. That’s why the money raised through this partnership is so important. It will allow us to continue to provide our person-centred support services so people have somewhere to turn to for help and information.
“We are dedicated to being there for people wherever and whenever they need us. We’re really looking forward to working with colleagues, customers and communities at Virgin Money and are excited about what we can achieve together.”
